Cage The Elephant Return with festival anthem ‘Ready To Let Go’

Having announced details of their hugely anticipated new album ‘Social Cues’, due April 19th on Columbia Records, Cage The Elephant have confirmed they will play a short run of UK club shows this June.

2019 looks set to belong to Cage The Elephant, with the band’s return to music driven by festival-ready indie anthems. Check out the Matt Shultz directed video for the album’s first taste ‘Ready To Let Go’.

Produced by John Hill (Santigold, Florence + The Machine, Portugal. The Man, tUnE-yArDs), ‘Social Cues’ was recorded at Battle Tapes Recording, Blackbird Studio and Sound Emporium in Nashville and The Village Recording Studio in Los Angeles and ranks alongside the band’s finest.

The majority of the material on Social Cues was written during the unravelling of Shultz’s relationship. He explains, “it can be a vehicle to act out things that are hard to confront.”

He went on to say, “I let images just arise in my mind and wait for it to evoke an emotional response and then when it does, I know I’m on to something.”
