With only two months to go, Standon Calling adds 90s icon and all round favourite Jarvis Cocker who’ll be bringing a very special DJ set to the festival for a trip down memory lane full of his unique presence and style.

Joining Jarvis for Standon Calling 2018 is Matthew Dear, bringing his live show to the fields, along with new talent including Artificial Pleasure, Bakar, Easy Life, Lily Moore and more.

Review :: The Great Escape Festival 2018

For music industry professionals, the annual trip to Brighton for three days of drinking, schmoozing and live music feels a lot like Christmas. With no Glastonbury this year and a sunny forecast, it seems everyone was ‘OOO’ for The Great Escape Festival.

Stepping off the train, Brighton’s sea breeze instantly lifts your spirits. The colourful city comes to life in the sunshine as crowds of delegates and media flock towards Jubilee Square. After breezing through accreditation and dropping our bags at a quirky Airbnb, we head straight to the end of the pier where Scottish punk band LUCIA are serving up a frantic set, with a punchy attitude.

Bushstock 2018 adds Peace, Cassia, Sea Girls & more

Peace are among the final names announced on the lineup for this year’s Bushstock Festival which is set to take place on Saturday 23rd June at various venues around London’s Shepherd’s Bush.

Alongside Peace, Matthew and the Atlas, Sea Girls, Seramic, San Scout, Hein Cooper, Anaïs, Cassia, and Only the Poets are also added to the lineup along with Mary Miller who is the winner of this year’s  Apply To Play competition.

Every so often you come across an artist who pushes a genre forward in a new direction. Dermot Kennedy is that artist. Equal parts rustic folk and soulful grit with a hip-hop influence, Ireland’s Dermot Kennedy offers his own blend of passionate, introspective songwriting.

Two more stages announced for All Points East 2018

Jägermeister will be bringing JägerHaus to All Points East for its only appearance of 2018. During APE festival weekend the house will play host to DJ sets from Hot Chip, Lil Silva, Emerald, Tiffany Calver and Warpaint. As well as performances from Jelani Blackman, Harvey Causon, Vessels, Nik Void, Bakar, Rival, Poté (live), Reeps One, Aadae, Benin City, Joel Culpepper and Mina Rose.

The APE Presents… shows the following weekend will feature The Big Moon, Marika Hackman, Pumarosa, Yowl, Gengahr, Life, Sorry, Lady Bird, Sweaty Palms, Superfood, Night Flight, Cosmo Sheldrake, Club Kuru, Cavetown, Lost Under Heaven, Black Foxxes, The Shacks, Lucia and Malena Zavala.

Edinburgh’s newest music festival, Edinburgh Summer Sessions have today announced The Shires as headliners for 11th August, joined by Newton Faulkner, Catherine McGrath and Andy Brown.

The festival’s latest addition means Princes Street Gardens will host seven shows in the capital, ensuring a truly unmissable summer in Edinburgh in 2018.

Best known for singles ‘Addicted’ ‘Mixed Signals’ and ‘Felicity’, The Night Café’s alternative indie vibe is increasingly atmospheric and easy to listen to; a mix of upbeat guitar riffs and definitive vocals, the Liverpool boys are creating music that’s optimistic and relatable.

We caught up with drummer Carl and bass guitarist Arran after their set at Live at Leeds Festival to discuss lyrics, their album release and who’d eat the last rolo.

Benicassim 2018 reveals day splits adding Chase & Status, Giggs, ALMA & more

With just over two months to go, the line up keeps growing for FIB Benicàssim 2018. Organisers have announced the day splits for the four-day festival as well as the addition of Chase & Status Live, Giggs, The Horrors, Oscar & The Wolfand, ALMA, Hayden James, LEYYA, Detriot Swindle, Monarchy and more.

They join previously announced The Killers, Liam Gallagher, Travis Scott, Pet Shop Boys, Two Door Cinema Club, Justice, The Vaccines, Madness and more at FIB Benicàssim, which takes place on July 19-22nd in Benicàssim, Spain.

One week to go until The Great Escape 2018

Festival season 2018 is here. With only one week to go The Great Escape is getting ready to unleash the hottest upcoming artists upon Brighton, from indie, pop and rock to grime, hip-hop and jazz and everything else in between, with over 700 shows it’s safe to say the streets, beach and venues of Brighton will be alive with musical furore.

For the first time, FADER lands from the US at The Great Escape adding extra flames to the line-up by the way of South London rapper Novelist. As one of grime’s freshest MCs the independent artist will undoubtedly raise the roof as he showcases tracks from his highly-praised debut album Novelist Guy.

ONBlackheath 2018 line up: Paloma Faith, Squeeze, De La Soul & more

ONBlackheath festival is back for 2018 with headliners Squeeze on Saturday 8th September, and Paloma Faith on Sunday 9th September. Also playing the main stage is The Divine Comedy and Billy Bragg on Saturday, and De La Soul, Corrine Bailey Rae, and The Lightning Seeds on Sunday.
