When are Glastonbury 2019 tickets on sale?

After surviving a summer without a trip to Worthy Farm, we can finally look ahead to summer 2019 and the return of Glastonbury Festival. Organisers have confirmed that tickets for Glastonbury 2019 will go on sale at 9am on 7th October.

As with previous years, those wishing to buy coach and entry packages will have the opportunity to purchase three days prior on Thursday 4th October. A £50 deposit will be required on the day, with full balance to paid next April. General admission tickets will cost £248 + £5 booking fee per ticket.

Glastonbury win Best Festival at the VO5 NME Awards 2018

Michael and Emily Eavis attended The VO5 NME Awards 2018 last night (Wednesday 14th February), at the O2 Academy Brixton, London, where they collected the award for Best Festival.

Glastonbury has been crowned the Best Festival at the VO5 NME Awards 2018 for the fifth year in a row. Michael Eavis wore shorts to the event, his signature look, donning them, like a hero, among a room of musicians that included Glastonbury 2017 acts Haim, alt-J, Annie Mac and Craig David.

Review: Glastonbury Festival 2017

A field where Blur reunited in 2009, pregnant Beyoncé closed The Pyramid Stage in 2011 with a Destiny’s Child medley, David Bowie performed ‘Changes’ for the first time in 1971 and Johnny Cash revived his career in 1994 – Glastonbury Festival is a magical place where anything feels possible.

Realising Glastonbury is the best festival in the world, makes returning to life pretty difficult. You can’t listen to music because it’s not the same, you keep finding forgotten memories on your camera roll and your contagious smile from all the positive energy and love soon disappears when you remember Brexit exists.

WATCH :: Josh Barry – When I’m Grown {Glastonbury 2017}

With a mission to unearth tomorrow’s headliners, Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Contest, supported by PRS for Music and PRS Foundation, gives new acts the chance to compete for a slot on one of the main stages at Glastonbury Festival.

This year’s Emerging Talent Winner, Josh Barry, played six live shows across the festival weekend, drawing in huge crowds at The John Peel Stage and The BBC Music Introducing Stage, before performing his new single ‘When I’m Grown’ live on BBC Radio 2.
