Matt Healy – “For Reading & Leeds, we’re gonna do the whole thing”

Matty Healy of The 1975 has told NME how seeing Nine Inch Nails’ amazing set at Leeds Festival as a teenager has inspired their upcoming headline slot at the dual festivals in August.

He explained that the band will bring their full spectacular 2019 arena set, stating, “For Reading & Leeds, we’re gonna do the whole thing”.

The 1975, Post Malone, Twenty One Pilots & Foo Fighters for Reading and Leeds 2019

The first names have been announced for Reading & Leeds Festival 2019, with The 1975, Post Malone, Foo Fighters and Twenty One Pilots topping the bill. Tickets go on sale this Friday 23rd November at 9am.

As announced on BBC Radio 1 by Greg James, the news confirms the longstanding rumour that The 1975 will headline. They’ll be joined by Foo Fighters, the first time they’ve headlined Reading & Leeds since 2012.

Reading & Leeds Festival announce 2019 tickets & dates

Reading & Leeds brought festival season 2018 to a close over a rainy bank holiday weekend. Organisers have announced ticket details for the festival’s return in 2019.

Over 200,000 festival goers raved across both sites this year, with sets from the likes of Kings Of Leon, Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Dua Lipa and Panic! At The Disco, among others.
