The award-winning grassroots festival Barn On The Farm celebrates its 10th anniversary this July. Known for booking the headliners of tomorrow Ed Sheeran, Hozier, George Ezra, James Bay, Ben Howard, Rag’n’Bone Man, Tom Grennan and Tom Misch have all passed through the barn gates before breaking internationally.
Set to follow in their footsteps, Barn On The Farm 2019 welcomes Sam Fender, Lewis Capaldi and Maggie Rogers. They will be joined by the likes of Jade Bird, Grace Carter, Maisie Peters, Easy Life, Cavetown, Flyte, Lily Moore, Cassia, Emily Burns, Millie Turner, Sun Silva, Holly Humberstone and many more.
Barn On The Farm 2019 headliner Sam Fender is set for superstardom. The winner of the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award is one of the hottest names in the music industry. Sam is currently in the studio recording his debut album for release later this year through Polydor Records.
Scottish singer/songwriter Lewis Capaldi began creating a buzz in early 2017 with the release of his debut single, “Bruises,” a track that introduced his intimate piano and vocal sound. On the back of this single, the Bathgate native sold out Glasgow club King Tut’s and amassed millions of streams before releasing his follow-up single, the equally unadorned, “Lost on You,” later that summer. Capaldi is currently topping the charts with his latest single “Someone You Loved”.
Maryland’s Maggie Rogers takes the third headliner slot at Barn On The Farm, one of only two festival appearances by her in the UK this year. It is well-documented that in 2016 Maggie Rogers played her song “Alaska” to Pharrell Williams at an NYU undergraduate seminar. His enthusiastic reaction to the performance went viral, resulting in a major-label deal, an EP and a sold-out headlining tour all within a year of graduation.
Maggie’s current debut album, “Heard It In A Past Life,” is an electro-folk collection of self-searching moments, encapsulating her wonderfully unique and earthy style – making her the perfect headliner for Barn On The Farm 2019.
Barn On The Farm is an independent, down-to-earth gathering of like-minded music lovers, who congregate as one united community each year on an actual working farm in Gloucester. Think pigs, hens etc, and ostriches!
Barn on the Farm is the place to hook up with old friends, party with new ones and check out an impressive range of music. Small but perfectly formed, Barn on the Farm is spread over 3 stages (The Wooden Barn, Outside and Main), only a hop, skip and hoedown apart.
The festival started 10 years ago with organiser Josh Sanger, a barn, a couple of bands, a few pints and very high expectations. 10 years on, Barn on the Farm is looking forwards and backwards, and will be celebrating with some very special friends this summer.
Eco-conscious, Barn on the Farm is also signed-up with the AIF pledge to go ‘Drastic for Plastic’ by 2021, making big steps to reduce its waste, and tackle its overall impact on the environment.
There are locally-sourced craft beers, ciders and a diverse range of good quality and reasonably priced food inc vegan offerings. Plus yoga classes, screen printing workshops, and microlight flights over the farm & Gloucestershire.
Barn On The Farm is held at Over Farm just outside Gloucester. The festival runs from 4th – 7th July 2019. Tickets for the 10th anniversary are limited. Secure yours today, and enjoy the headliners of tomorrow!
