Popular broadcasters Danny Wallace and Edith Bowman are confirmed to host this year’s Sky Arts coverage of The Isle of Wight Festival on 11-14 June! The pair will be roaming around the festival site and conducting exclusive backstage interviews all weekend to feature in the programmes alongside live performances from the Main Stage and Big Top.
Edith Bowman says: I am thoroughly enjoying working with Sky on Guitar Star, and I am thrilled to be covering the legendary Isle of Wight Festival for them. It’s a great festival that I’ve been to many times and the line up this year is quite spectacular.
Danny Wallace adds: The Isle of Wight Festival is legendary, I had a blast presenting from there last year. This year’s line-up is fantastic, and I’m looking forward to heading there with Edith for more rock stars, sunburn, warm lager, and Sky Arts interviews. Well, maybe not the warm lager.
Edith Bowman’s new book Great British Music Festivals, documents her immersive journey as she travels the length of the UK in search of the ultimate festival experience (dream job!).
The Isle of Wight Festival, now in its 14th year, is one of the crown jewels of the British summer calendar, with a unique festival experience for music fans of all ages to enjoy. The festival offers 12 stages of live music over the weekend – including Main Stage headliners, acoustic sets, DJ performances and up-and-coming talent – alongside a huge variety of additional entertainment and activities such as the Bohemian Woods, Intoxicated Tea Rooms and Hip-shaker, to escape from everyday life for that one weekend in June.
