TRNSMT 2018 :: Early-bird Tickets On Sale

Repeat transmission! After the hugely successful first ever TRNSMT Festival, organisers have announced that tickets for TRNSMT 2018 event (6th – 8th July, Glasgow Green) tickets go on sale on Friday 14th July at 9am.

For a limited time period, tickets for TRNSMT 2018 will be available at 2017 prices. With the sun shining on Glasgow for most of the weekend, highlights of TRNSMT 2017 included performances from Radiohead, Kasabian, Biffy Clyro and Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Broadcasting from Dreamland Margate to the rest of the world, Red Bull TV captured Gorillaz’ headline set, celebrating the band’s chart topping new album Humanz.

The performance features friends and collaborators including Kano, De La Soul, Shaun Ryder, Vince Staples, Kelela, Savages’ Jehnny Beth, Zebra Katz, Danny Brown and more, performing against a backdrop of visuals by Gorillaz co-founder Jamie Hewlett.

WATCH :: Catfish and the Bottlemen – Glasgow {TRNSMT 2017}

Since forming in 2007, Catfish and the Bottlemen have leaped out of Llandudno, becoming one of the world’s biggest indie rock bands. From playing small venues such as Leeds University in 2014, to now touring worldwide, two EP’s, two albums, multiple awards and a huge fan following, it’s safe to say the only way these guys are going is up.

Following George Ezra, the band took to the main stage at brand new Glasgow festival TRNSMT last Saturday, thrilling fans with an incredible set list – mixing the newest album, The Ride (2016), with well-known tunes from first album The Balcony (2014), such as Kathleen and Cocoon. Opening with Homesick, the best of 120,000 fans lost it and the insane combination of mosh pits and colourful flares filled the Green.

Spanish art collective Cool Shit is the internet in real-life. Making meme culture reality, they’ve been giving celebrities the larger than life treatment for the last four years, notably bringing Lionel’s Richie Head, which stood at a mere three and half metres tall, to Bestival in 2013.

Interview :: The View Ahead of TRNSMT 2017

Scottish rockers The View began 2017 on a high, with tickets selling out in less than twenty minutes for their record-breaking run of shows at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow to celebrate ten years as a band.

The View join fellow Scots Biffy Clyro and Twin Atlantic, on the closing day of TRNSMT, Sunday 9th July. Their extensive back catalogue includes six albums, and the band shows no sign of slowing down as they enter their second decade on the music scene.

We caught up with Kieran Webster to find out what to expect from their set this weekend.
