Following on from the previously announced headliners – The Chemical Brothers (Friday 24th May), Bon Iver (Sunday 2nd June), Christine and The Queens (Sunday 26 May) and Bring Me The Horizon (Friday 31st May) – All Points East can reveal the latest headliner is the The Strokes.
The Strokes will perform on Saturday 25th May 2019 – the band’s first performance in the UK for 4 years. Tickets for The Strokes at All Points East 2019 will go on sale this Friday 1st February at 9am.
Also announced are further special guests making up the opening weekend’s line up. From the experimental sounds of James Blake, Jon Hopkins (Live) and Róisín Murphy to the most in-demand DJs such as Peggy Gou, Moxie and Andrew Weatherall – plus of course the outstanding headliners in The Chemical Brothers, The Strokes and Christine and The Queens.
It has been the UK who has arguably most embraced The Strokes and their music throughout the years, making their ‘homecoming’ performance at Victoria Park all the more special and anticipated.
Supporting The Strokes are The Raconteurs, Interpol, Johnny Marr, Parquet Courts, Jarvis Cocker, Connan Mockasin, Anna Calvi, Bakar, The Nude Party and Viagra Boys.
Joining The Chemical Brothers on Friday 24th May is another electronic maestro Jon Hopkins – who will be bringing his immersive, multisensory live show to Victoria Park – as well as Peggy Gou (Presents Gou Talk), Róisín Murphy, David August, Lane 8, Optimo, Petite Noir, Maurice Fulton, Josey Rebelle, Ge-ology and DMX Krew.
On Sunday 26th May, Christine and the Queens will be joined by James Blake – who’s just stunned the world with his fourth LP Assume Form – plus Kamasi Washington, Princess Nokia, Bob Moses, Andrew Weatherall, Yves Tumor (full band), Joy Orbison, Moxie (Presents On Loop), Octo Octa, Galcher Lustwerk and Paquita Gordon.
