Looking back on summer, All Points East 2021 was a weekend of pure joy. Being one of the first UK festivals to get the green light, APE blessed London with a long-desired party, soundtracked by the dreamy return of live music.
Belonging to the much-loved Victoria Park, All Points East has confirmed its return in 2022. APE will take place over two weekends, with free mid-week activity in-between. Reclaiming August bank holiday weekend, the festival will take place from Friday 19 August – Sunday 28 August 2022.
The line up for All Points East 2022 is diverse and expertly curated. Each day brings a different vibe welcoming artists that compliment each other perfectly.
Setting the tone on Friday 19th August will be headliners Gorillaz, with support from fast-rising headliners IDLES in celebration of their new album ‘Crawler’. Also on the Friday line up is emerging band and ones-to-watch NewDad. Two women known and respected for their authenticity, Self Esteem and Greentea Peng, are also set to perform.
Saturday 20th August welcomes the return of iconic festival duo The Chemical Brothers. In the lead up to the main spectacle, it’s a full day of raving with music from Kraftwerk, alongside the likes of Field Day favourites HAAi, Logic1000, and a rare live set from Tourist.
The following weekend kicks off on Thursday 25th August with a long-awaited headline set from Tame Impala. The Aussie band will finally play their 2020 album ‘The Slow Rush’ to a London festival crowd. The Blaze and Caroline Polachek are also set to be Thursday highlights.
Sad girl summer this one’s for you. It’s a deep and dark soundtrack on Friday 26th August as The National bring their moody music to Victoria Park. Further drama comes from Lucy Dacus and Perfume Genius, plus Fleet Foxes performing ‘Shore’.
Saturday 27th August 2022 is one big party and a celebration of the very best in UK alternative dance music. After packing out the tent in 2021, future festival headliner Fred Again.. returns for a full set with music from his first and second albums. Complimenting Fred, James Blake brings ‘Friends That Break Your Heart’ to break the hearts of Victoria Park, right before Disclosure take to the decks for a euphoric headline set.
Bringing All Points East 2022 to a close on Sunday 28th August is Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, plus music for the soul from Micheal Kiwanuka. Talented indie musician and author Japanese Breakfast will also perform.
With many more acts still TBA, All Points East truly is one of the UK’s essential summer music festivals. See the full line up below!
