Boardmasters

Boardmasters is an annual festival that combines some of the best music with surf, BMX and skate competitions in and around the town of Newquay in Cornwall, UK.
The festival usually takes place over three days in late August. Due to bad weather conditions in 2019, and the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Boardmasters last took place in 2018.
With a history that links to some of the Surfers Against Sewage events that have taken place over the last three decades, Boardmasters can trace its heritage back to 1981.
Boardmasters takes place at Watergate Bay, and you’ll catch most of the extreme sports going down around Fistral Beach. The festival completely takes over Newquay, set against the background of some of the most beautiful beach views you’ll catch anywhere in the UK.
