Gala Festival 2022 reveals Gerd Janson, Shanti Celeste & more

GALA, one of the biggest success stories of summer 2021, will return in 2022 for three days of dreamy festival action.

Following a sell-out year, GALA returns for its sixth instalment taking place on the new UK Bank Holiday weekend (Thursday 2nd to Saturday 4th June) with an assured musical programme built to get people dancing.

Returning to South London’s favourite Peckham Rye Park, GALA promises to make another emotional return, with emphasis and further improvement on sound design and production.

The much-loved roaming sound-system of Brilliant Corners’, Giant Steps, and South London collective Born N Bread will curate two stages for Thursday. Day one’s line-up will showcase live jazz vibes from Children of Zeus, Joe Amon Jones, Nu Genea, Off The Meds, Nia Archives and Seun Kuti & Egypt 80. They’ll be joined by DJs A Guy Called Gerald, Goldie, Josey Rebelle and Shy One.

Worldwide FM and Berlin-based community station Refuge Worldwide present Friday’s offering where international electronic music will be pushed to the forefront. Day two welcomes Gerd Janson, Job Jobse and Shanti Celeste among the first acts to be announced.

GALA welcomes back long-term collaborators Rhythm Section and Horse Meat Disco as Saturday’s partners alongside Peckham record store Rye Wax – making the final day a South London affair.

Check out the full line up announced so far below! Tickets go on sale Friday 5 November.
