Lewis Capaldi to headline Edinburgh Summer Sessions 2019

Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi – currently top of the Official UK Charts with single ‘Someone You Loved’ – will headline Edinburgh Summer Sessions on 14th August.

We Were Promised Jetpacks (CHVRCHES support) + The Lightning Seeds (Madness support) also join the line-up for Edinburgh Summer Sessions. Other headliners include Florence + the Machine, CHVRCHES, James, Courteeners, Madness, Primal Scream, Johnny Marr and more.

Edinburgh Summer Sessions will see eight dates of music brought to the capital, against the one of a kind backdrop of Edinburgh Castle in the Ross Bandstand, during Edinburgh International Festival.

Lewis Capaldi said: “Well, well, well. Look who’s playing a big f*ck off outdoor show in Edinburgh this summer, ya big lovely b*stards.”

Lewis Capaldi will headline Edinburgh Summer Sessions on Wednesday 14th August, making his Summer Sessions festival debut and a much-welcomed return to Scottish soil after a whirlwind year for the young Bathgate-born singer.

Having Peter Capaldi star in his music videos, Lewis Capaldi hasn’t forgotten where he came from and his debut headline show at Edinburgh Summer Sessions festival is sure to be a real highlight of 2019’s summer music calendar.

Part of the Summer Sessions Festival family, Edinburgh’s event will open up proceedings for Glasgow’s series of festival dates, Glasgow Summer Sessions starting on 16th August with The Cure.
