Nova Batida 2019 secures Four Tet, Friendly Fires, Slowthai & more

A new festival to really get excited about. Nova Batida will be set in what is considered the cities coolest quarter and a hub of ‘creative mini cities’ at the LX Factory and Village Underground Lisboa.

Headlining the main stage for 2019, Four Tet will be bringing his experimental DJ set to Lisbon. Known for their anthemic choruses, Friendly Fires will also be taking to the stage across the weekend.

Having released his fifth studio album “Singularity” last year which was nominated for best electronic/dance album at this year’s Grammys, Jon Hopkins will be on hand, indulging in his passion for transcendental electronic beats.

In 2017, French-born, south-east London-raised rapper Octavian announced himself to the wider world with the release of his first official single, “Party Here”.

Also set to storm the weekend, Slowthai has rapidly become one of the UK’s most exciting rappers. The Northampton born-and-raised artist’s music is a frenetic clash of punk energy, speaker-thrashing hip-hop and rebellion.

Alongside these incredible acts, electric and epic performances can be expected from the likes of  Talib Kweli, Akala, Ross From Friends, Jayda G, Mr Scruff, Floating Points, Ben UFO and many, many more.

Set alongside its eclectic music line-up, Nova Batida will take over the creative coastal capital with a programme of experiences day to night including surf lessons, rooftop yoga, talks, museum tours, workshops, and delicious local street food and drinks.

Nova Batida runs runs between September 13th – 15th 2019.
