Lorde, James Blake, Nine Inch Nails & more for Primavera Sound LA 2022
Created in Barcelona, the first edition of Primavera Sound Los Angeles will take place from the 12th – 18th September 2022.
After postponing the event in 2020 due to the pandemic, organisers can now reveal Lorde as one of the first headliners for Primavera Sound LA.
Joining her will be British icons Arctic Monkeys, who are rumoured to be dropping their seventh studio album ahead of their international run of festival dates.
On the back of a pop culture resurgence, LA-based industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails also top the bill for Primavera Sound LA 2022, bringing their incredible live show to the main stage.
Also performing at LA State Historic Park will be James Blake, with his latest studio album ‘Friends That Break Your Heart’. Plus live sets from a diverse selection of acts including post-punk UK newcomers Dry Cleaning, iconic Belfast house duo Bicep (DJ), hyperpop huns Shygirl and Arca, plus alternative favourites Stereolab, Mitski & more.
A press release reads: “the journey to Los Angeles can be made by following an infinite number of musical itineraries that will soon be extended with the rest of the artists on a line-up that is already heading towards equality. A non-negotiable commitment for Primavera Sound in its search for a fairer music industry.” <3
