Tom Misch, The Cat Empire and Elbow to headline Bristol Sounds 2019
Bristol Sounds recently announced its return to the city’s Harbourside with Bloc Party on 28 June. Organisers have now revealed a further three headline acts including Tom Misch, The Cat Empire, and Elbow.
Tickets are on sale now. The full line-up of support artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
Following the release of his first full-length album “ Geography” in 2018, and a packed out field at Loves Saves the Day last summer, Tom Misch will fill the Amphitheatre with a blend of jazzy guitar and hip-hop inspired beats to welcome Bristol Sounds back to its home by the Harbour.
On Thursday June 27 the headliner is Australian outfit The Cat Empire, widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest party bands. The Antipodean six-piece hold the record at O2 Academy Bristol having sold out 10 shows there.
Bloc Party take to the stage on Friday 28 June for their biggest ever Bristol show. For this special gig the band will perform their ground-breaking debut album ‘Silent Alarm’, released to huge acclaim in 2005.
Saturday the 29 June will see Elbow return to a Bristol stage, having headlined The Downs festival in 2017. The full line-up of support artists will be announced soon.
Tickets for Bristol Sounds 2019 go on sale at 9am on Thursday 31st January.
