Wolf Alice share riotous festival anthem ‘Smile’

‘Smile’ is the song that will now play out in my head the next time I’m walking down the street and a man tells me to smile.

Lead vocalist Ellie Rowsell says of the track, “This is one of the songs we wrote thinking that we would play it live. I miss that feeling of singing on stage. It’s like screaming into a pillow or something – you can get away with being more nasty. There’s a whole other part of me missing.”

Wolf Alice – Smile

‘Smile’ lands as a second taster of ‘Blue Weekend’, the band’s highly-anticipated third album, out 11 June 2021 through Dirty Hit. Sonically, ‘Smile’ is the opposite to ‘The Last Man on Earth’, showing the versatility Wolf Alice do so well.

Great things never came from comfort zones and that’s exactly what Wolf Alice exhibit.
